This is the first plant parcel I receive this year making it extra
special. It was a plant trade for Dischidia oiantha "varigata"
There were two gift plants inside too! A Codonanthe sp. and Lucida discolor. I love unexpected plant surprises!!
Here they are potted up and ready to root. Rooting is never a sure thing, and depending on what kind of plants your working with there are many different ways to go about it. I have a Codonanthe gracilis and have rooted many a cutting in water, so chose this same technique for this Codonanthe. Lucida discolor is supposed to be a really easy rooter, so i just stuck it in a moist mix of orchid bark, tropical soil, and perlite. I did the same with the Dischidia attaching some of the air roots to the soil surface with bobby pins. I'll keep you all posted on how they do
